Government announces suspension of face-to-face classes
Face-to-Face Class in all Kumon Education Centres will be suspended for two weeks
****************************************
The Government announced on 29th November that in light of the worsening situation of the COVID-19 epidemic, all kindergartens, as well as primary and secondary schools, will suspend face-to-face classes and school activities starting from this Wednesday (2nd December) until the beginning of school Christmas holidays. Private schools offering non-formal curriculum (commonly known as "tutorial schools"), including all Kumon Education Centres will suspend face-to-face classes for two weeks from 2nd December (Wednesday) to 15th December (Tuesday).
Suspension of face-to-face learning activities does not mean put learning on halt, EDB also encourages students to have learning activities at home. Therefore, the Kumon Learning Method originated from home-based education is absolutely the best choice for parents and children during the epidemic! Kumon instructors will continuously provide maximum support of home-based learning to students and maintain close communication with students and parents.
Home-based learning from 2nd to 15th December will be arranged as follow:
It is understandably that our Parents and students may feel disappointed and helpless towards interruption of their school life by the proliferation of the epidemic after school resumption for just a short period of time. We hope that our students remain healthy and happy as well as maintain good learning habit during this critical moment.
Regarding the concrete arrangement of Kumon Class resumption, we will closely observe the guidelines announced by the government and the Education Bureau from time to time. Parents are advised to visit our official websites and Kumon Facebook for the most updated news or arrangements.
